It’s not just ‘a Chinese’ any more – we are getting so much more adventurous with our forays into Asian cooking. And as it’s becoming so much more cheap and easy to make great Asian dishes, it’s not a surprise. Add in a slow cooking process, and you’ve got yourself a delicious and cheap meal -plus your house will turn from a student-infested stench to the savoury odours of Asia. Serves 2
All you need is
3 tbs Dark Soy Sauce
3 tbs Tomato Ketchup
2 tbs Honey
1/2 tbs Italian Herbs
1/2 tbs Sesame Seeds
1/2 tbs Chopped garlic
1 Chicken breast
To make it just
Chop up the chicken and place in a casserole dish or slow cooker.
Add the ketchup, soy sauce, honey, garlic, mixed herbs and sesame seeds to the dish and mix up well.
Place the dish in the oven on a very low heat for 4 hours, stirring occasionally, if you find the sauce starts to thicken a lot then add some water.
To serve place on a bed of egg noodles (follow instructions on the pack) and enjoy!

So if you’re a fan of spicy food then you’re going to want to add some extra chill flakes as this meal is amazing but not got much of a kick. The soy sauce helps tame it and the honey gives it a sweet taste.
If you don’t have all the ingredients for this dish but want to try it don’t fear. The amount you use is minimal in the grand scheme of things, everything can be re used to create different meals and can last you a long time. Except from the chicken, these ingredients have long life spans so you can keep them in your cupboards and re use them for a variety of meals.
The overall dish is very simple and tastes insane, if you’re a bit worried about cooking something out of the ordinary don’t fear. This meals looks and tastes a lot fancier than it really is, if you’ve got a friend from home visiting or parents and you want to impress then this will definitely do the trick.
