This was another one of those occasions where I put a few things in a pan and hoped for the best. The end result? Again, a simple yet effective pasta dish feel a great flavour without the hassel of cooking up meat. Serves 2

All you need is

Half a tin of mixed mexican beans

¼ box of passata

1 tsp :

Garlic powder

Italian herbs

Mixed herbs

Chilli powder

A handful of pasta

A handful of kale

A handful of carrot

½ tsp chilli flakes

To make it just

Boil and cook the pasta for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes add the kale, mixed mexican beans and carrots and leave to cook for a further 5 minutes.

Drain all of the saucepan and then return to the hob.

Top the pasta mix with the passata and all seasoning mixing well.

The results are in

Like most pasta dishes this one is incredibly desirable for students as it’ so easy and quick, which is of course what we look for in our meals.

This meal was full of flavour which was fantastic, however, there wasn’t much sauce which meant after a while the dish got incredibly dry. This is easily fixable by simply adding more passata.

Overall, this dish met all needs. It was amazingly filling as well as healthy, the beans were a great substitute for meat as well the mixer of seasonings created a flavourful dish.
